This week’s Dos and Don’ts provides useful reminders before you head out for the holidays.
Visit the Vax Scene
If you haven’t yet, do take a few moments to visit the latest section of the Coronavirus Information Center—the Vax Scene. There, you’ll find answers to frequently asked questions, like, “Will Exelon be distributing the vaccine?”
Feeling optimistic? Do check out the Responsible Re-entry section of the Coronavirus Information Center to see what it will be like when more employees can return full time to the office, which will be sometime after May 31, 2021.
Don’t forget: the Coronavirus Information Center is continually updated with fresh information weekly. If you’re seeing months-old information, do try a hard refresh (press “function” and F5 together, on most computers). If that doesn’t work, try clearing your browser data/history.
Redeem Dollars for Doers Grants
Don’t forget to log your 2020 volunteer service hour and submit your rewards requests to take advantage of the Exelon Foundation “Dollars for Doers” grant program. Our nonprofit partners are depending on these funds to keep their organizations running. With your help, they can receive up to $700! Do visit the Powering Communities site and click on the “Volunteer” tab to log your hours today. Checks will be disbursed to charities in the second half of Feb. 2021.
Don't forget that if you log 40 hours by Dec. 31, with at least 20 hours served with one organization, you'll be eligible to apply for the Exelon Powering Communities Employee Volunteer Awards Program. The call for applications will run from Jan. 5 to Feb. 3!
Submit Your Timesheet on Time
If you plan to be out of the office through the holiday, do complete your timesheet before signing offline. All paid time off used through the end of December must be reported by Dec. 31 at 10 a.m. CST. This does not impact normal time entry deadlines for payroll purposes.
Reset Your Password to Avoid Lockout
Have you received an email saying your password is going to expire? Do reset it sooner than later to avoid account lockout. If you need help, do check out the password reset instructions. If you need to call the IT Service Desk, don’t forget that legitimate Exelon IT staff will never ask you to reveal a password.
Dos and Don’ts will Resume in January
Do take note that there will not be a Dos and Don’ts email next week. Don’t worry—we’ll resume sending this email the first week in January. Have a safe and happy holiday season!
We Wish You Happy and Healthy Holidays!
