This week’s Dos and Don’ts is all about the COVID-19 vaccine – how and when to register for it, and how to help us gauge the supply needs for other employees.
Vaccine Survey Reminder, Registration and More
Don’t forget to complete the employee vaccine survey by Jan. 29, so we know your intention about getting vaccinated. This information will help ensure we provide states and counties with accurate numbers, as they allocate doses to various populations, including critical infrastructure workers. If you prefer to provide your preference by phone or have already responded to the survey and would like to change your response, please contact HR Solutions at 1-877-7Exelon (1-877-739-3566) Monday through Friday 7am – 6pm CST.
As states begin to receive more doses of the vaccine, do look for a targeted email from Exelon (specifically from the ExelonNow HR Solutions Hub or in some cases, your OpCo) when we are notified of vaccine availability in your state, county or local government. This email will contain information about how to register or schedule an appointment.
For vaccine appointments during your regularly scheduled shift, you are eligible for up to four hours of paid time off for time spent getting vaccinated with approval from your manager.
Do remember:
- Make every effort to register for a vaccine in your state or county as soon as you can.
- Should you need to schedule during your working hours, then it must be scheduled in accordance with your department needs and approved by your manager.
- If you had to schedule your vaccination during work hours, you must show your manager proof of vaccination to be eligible to use COVID Pay.
- Use VACCINE-PD code in eTime (available starting Feb. 1) with your manager’s approval (do not call Actec, the Exelon Absence Reporting Line, for vaccine appointments)
After receiving each dose of the vaccine, don’t forget to document this information via the HR Solutions HUB using the Voluntary Disclosure of Receipt form (just type “voluntary disclosure” in the search field). Vaccine information will be treated as confidential employee information and will enable us to better understand the need for additional employee vaccines, as they become available.
If you become ill from vaccine-related side effects, you are eligible for an additional day of COVID Pay (VACCINE-PD in eTime). Follow your normal absence reporting procedures. Any approved absence beyond one day will be eligible for pay in accordance with normal sick processing.
Vaccine distribution information continues to evolve rapidly, and we will keep you as up to date as possible. Do check out the Vax Scene webpage for updates and information.
Show Us Some Love on Valentine’s Day
In advance of Valentine’s Day, do show us how much you love working at Exelon. We’re looking to feature several employees in videos or pictures (with quotes) on our social media handles. Do contact Shavonne Thomas if you’re interested in participating. Don’t forget to tag @Exelon if you post your photo on your own social media channels so we can share too!
Professional Travel is now Direct Travel
Do make note that Professional Travel is changing its name to Direct Travel after the two companies merged this month. With the rebranding, the company will use the Direct Travel name when answering the phone and sending itineraries. Don’t be confused by the name change – they will still provide the same services and support.
Reminder: Volunteer Award Nominations Due Feb. 3
Don’t miss the opportunity to nominate yourself or a colleague for the Exelon Employee Volunteer Awards, which celebrate the accomplishments of our outstanding employee volunteers by providing a cash contribution to the community organizations they serve. Do act now because entries are due at midnight ET on Feb. 3, 2021.
