Today’s Dos and Don’ts start with encouragement and a watch out. Do continue your efforts to raise money to help others, but do it in a way that is responsible and adheres to applicable laws.

Now more than ever, supporting our communities is important to us, but we do need to make sure our fundraisers don’t run afoul of state laws in various jurisdictions that govern certain types of fundraising.
If your employee group is contemplating a fundraising event that includes a raffle, prize drawing, 50/50, bingo, gambling or something similar, do check in advance with your business group’s legal contact, who can help you safely navigate the rules:
