Note: For EU and utility employees ONLY
Team,
I wanted to share an update on Responsible Re-entry. We have determined that EU and the utilities will begin Phases 1 and 2 of Responsible Re-entry on December 1, 2021, and Phase 3 on January 3, 2022.
This decision comes as our cities, towns, service territories, customers and partners also start to get back to normal. With schools, restaurants, airports and other businesses resuming regular operations, we also need to return to on-site work and ensure we can continue to provide safe, reliable and resilient service to our customers and communities.
All EU and utilities remote-enabled employees will be returning in a hybrid approach, using their future workplace designation of either on-site or flexible. To learn more about our hybrid work model, visit the Workplace of the Future pages on Exelon Connect.
Embedded BSC employees should follow BSC’s re-entry guidance and will not start re-entry at this time, while being prepared to re-enter when the business needs their support on-site.
I recognize that we are coming up on the holiday season, and parents and caregivers continue to navigate ever-changing guidance from local governments and schools. If you are in Phase 1 or 2 and have questions about returning to work on Dec. 1, please contact your supervisor.
While many of you have been working on-site since the pandemic began, I’m glad that we now are able to begin returning some of the remote-enabled teams, and I’m confident in our ability to keep everyone safe. Of course, any employee working in the field or our facilities plays an important role by continuing to follow all COVID-19 protocols – including masking and social distancing – and getting vaccinated as soon as possible.
In addition, be sure to remain diligent about COVID safety protocols when commuting to and from work or attending gatherings.
Thank you for everything you’ve been doing to keep our customers, loved ones and each other safe.
As always, I appreciate all that you do,
Calvin
