Colleagues,

Throughout this pandemic, I have been encouraged and inspired by the commitment and resiliency of our employees. Thank you for all you are doing to keep yourselves and others safe and healthy. Here are some ways that we are working to support you and your families.

Remote Work and Social Distancing

If you follow the news, you know that while there are some signs of progress, the pandemic continues to spread. While we all would like things to go back to normal sooner rather than later, the need for social distancing continues.

As a result, we are extending until June 1 remote work for those employees who are remote-enabled and all applicable COVID-19 safety practices for those employees who must report to a work location. Of course, we will continue to monitor the situation and adjust, as necessary.

On a related note, each of our utilities announced today that it is extending its suspension of customer disconnects until June 1.

New Benefits and Extensions

We want to help you and your family have the right resources to get through this pandemic safely, so we've extended some existing benefits and added a couple of new ones.

Back-up Care

  • To continue to support any back-up child- or elder-care needs you may have during this time, we are extending our Bright Horizons COVID-19 Crisis Care benefit, which now is available to all employees for up to 60 days. Please remember, the Crisis Care benefit is only for use if your regular caregiver is unavailable; your spouse or other family member who lives in your home is not eligible for crisis care reimbursement.

COVID-19 Treatment Coverage

  • If you have medical coverage through Exelon, all in-network COVID-19 treatment from March 1, 2020, through the end of 2020, including testing, telehealth and diagnostic visits, is covered at 100 percent for you and your covered dependents when medically necessary and consistent with CDC guidance. No prior authorization is needed, and there's no copayment, even if you haven't met your deductible.

Expert Support

  • If you or your eligible dependent has been diagnosed with COVID-19, a new benefit will ensure you have a knowledgeable expert by your side every step of the way. A health professional can be assigned to you to assist with:

    • Understanding your diagnosis and how you can protect others.

    • Identifying resources for treatment and coordinating care and referrals for complex treatment.

    • Educating and referring you to EAP or other needed Exelon care programs.

    • Reviewing treatment bills and claims for accuracy and updated coverage levels.

Virtual Dental Care

If you are enrolled in Exelon's dental coverage through Cigna, a new benefit can help if you're in need of urgent dental care. If you can't reach your regular provider, you can now access Cigna Virtual Dental Care (powered by TeleDentists)  24/7 at no cost through May 31.

Dealing with any crisis can be stressful and challenging, but one that continues for an extended period of time like the pandemic is especially difficult. Please take care of yourselves and your families during this time. And check out the variety of resources we've gathered to help you focus on your physical and mental health. We are in this together.

Take care,

Amy
