As some states loosen COVID-19 business restrictions, you may be wondering if Exelon travel policies have changed. Exelon follows CDC guidelines (and applicable state or local orders) for business travel. Here’s an update:

Business travel:

  • Don’t travel internationally. International business travel remains prohibited.
  • Don’t travel domestically unless absolutely necessary. If it is necessary that you travel domestically, please contact your human resources business partner in advance of your trip to determine if any travel restrictions apply.

Personal travel:

  • Do use your discretion, whether considering international or domestic travel
    • International: Do be aware that the CDC recommends avoiding all nonessential travel to all global destinations, as well as self-quarantine for 14 days following any international travel. Do ensure you report applicable foreign travel to the Travel Safely team and comply with all other requirements of the Foreign Travel Security Policy (SY-AC-21).
    • Domestic: When traveling by any means (car, train, plane) domestically, do be aware of any travel restrictions to your destination and home state.
      • You can find details about the requirements for your state at this CDC link.

If you are scheduled to report to a work location within 14 days of any travel, do ensure you understand any quarantine requirements that could affect your return to work.

If you have any questions regarding whether a travel restriction applies to you, please contact 1-877-7EXELON (1-877-739-3566) and your supervisor in advance of your trip.

Get a Jump on Annual Training

Do take the Annual Ethics and Security trainings.  In response to requests from across the company, these mandatory trainings have been updated and will be available in LMS beginning May 14, 2020, and due on or before November 16, 2020. The annual training is being launched early to provide everyone with additional time to accommodate Covid-19 related workload adjustments. The training includes:

  • Exelon Code of Business Conduct Annual Training
  • Preventing Sexual Harassment Annual Training
  • Exelon Security Training
  • Exelon Phishing Awareness Campaign

Do be aware the Annual Training is now required for contractors with access to Exelon sites and systems.

Do put safety first! The Ethics Office (EthicsOffice2@exeloncorp.com) will work with field employees and their supervision to assure that the completion of their training does NOT put anyone’s health at risk and is scheduled when most convenient

Going forward these training requirements will be tracked as annual qualifications, due on a four-quarter cycle (e.g., if you complete training on May 25, 2020, your due date next year will be June 30, 2021).
