  • NEW! 2020 Heart Walk

Join Andy Dickson and the I “Heart” IT Team on a Virtual Heart Walk to support the American Heart Association on September 18 & 19th

Last year, nearly 800 ComEd and Exelon employees participated in American Heart Association Heart Walks and raised more than $170,000 in the fight against heart disease and stroke. ComEd and Exelon will participate, again, in this year, with ComEd's CEO, Joe Dominguez and his wife Amy Trokecki chairing the 2020 Chicago Heart Walk and we have been challenged to join in the fun!

Although the walk will be virtual this year due to COVID-19, the AHA promises a fun experience on Sept. 18 and 19. And since it's virtual, more people than ever before can participate because of the flexibility of time and location (anywhere you want!) of this year's walk.  The beat goes on wherever you are between 12pm on Friday, 9/18 to 5pm on Saturday, 9/19 the goal is to log 5000-10000 steps which will be logged on the AHA mobile app.

The company has set a collective goal to get 1,000 virtual walkers and raise $200,000 this year. If you are interested in participating please use this link. Also, any donation you make can be matched through Exelon's Matching Gifts Program.

If you have any questions please reach out to Amy Wierzbicki.

  • CISS Feed the Hungry & Dunk the Director Challenge

    By: Dan Sadler

Prior to the COVID-19 pandemic, hunger was already a significant challenge across all of the communities we live in and serve.

Now, during the pandemic, health and economic impacts are further stressing our communities, and we are seeing sharp increases in unemployment and cries for help with the basic essentials of life. I’m asking for your support, by making whatever meaningful contribution you can, to help feed the hungry.

I challenged CISS to raise $1,500 by the end of May for our local food banks. If we reached our goal, I would jump in the river wearing my suit!

As of May 28, CISS donated $4,869 (they tripled the original goal) to the Maryland Food Bank, Philadelphia Food Bank and Chicago Food Bank!

You guessed it...this means Dan jumped in the river after all 😀 But we don't want to stop here. Enjoy the video and please consider making a contribution in your community: find a food bank.

Watch the video below to see Dan get dunked! You must be on-network or using VPN/remote access to view the below video.
